A limestone headland jutting out into the Irish Sea above Llandudno. The Great Orme has been quarried for copper and limestone over the last few hundred years. It's also used for farming but is mostly grazing land.
Geologically the limestone pavement towards the sea end is important and rare habitat.
The whole headland is crossed with many paths as well as a trail running around the edge. It's a great loop for runners and you can stay fairly flat or take in the 207m summit as many times as you feel like.
