Small bothy with one room, two single sleeping platforms and a fireplace to dry those soggy feet off!
Two good gravel track routes to this bothy: straight up from the Old Bridge of Tilt car park going first west for a short distance along the north side of Banvie Burn and then north to the bothy, or north up the road to the rifle range and then pass east of Meall Reamhar and Carn Dearg Mor. There's also a path down from Bruar Lodge. An anti-clockwise route is suggested if doing both tracks.

Makes for an interesting biking destination not too far from Glen Tilt car park - and it's mainly downhill on the way back - zoom.

          ACCESSIBILITY ADVICE!

Tried to take pictures for understanding accessibility to this bothy. All the way is a 4x4 track at times quite sandy and uneven, with grown over parts in the middle and never too steep but continual hill coming to the bothy from Blair Atholl. The main challenge for hand cyclists riding solo is a gate that opens both ways but requires you to come off the road a wee bit onto uneven ground with not much space for manouverig. The main 4x4 gate was padlocked closed in late February when I was there but maybe it could be open later or asked to be opened. Takes maybe 1hr 30 minutes -2hrs from the station to the bothy cycling I'd say.

Fantastic run , did on full suspension mtb so smoothed out the ride.

ACCESSIBILITY TIPS FOR THE BOTHY FROM BLAIR ATHOLL.
The track is nearly all 4x4 and is fairly unsteep but rarely flat the whole way. Mostly up on the way towards the bothy. It's overgrown in the middle of the track at times and maybe more so in summer. There are some biggish stones, and uneven ground, think football sized at points. It's also quite sandy or almost pure sand at points so moving can be difficult at speed.
Main challenge is the gate which is as you leave the Forrest section and into the heathland. It's a 4x4 sized gate padlocked closed with the side gate being wide enough for three wheeled bikes but it's to the side on fairly uneven ground. It's a push or pull. Maybe in summer the 4x4 track will be open or one could contact the estate to open it for access. I'll upload pictures for clarity
