Bridge built by Fernando VI in 1749 (which has undergone modifications both due to the floods of the river and for its adaptation to support wheeled vehicles as well as the damage caused in the last civil war) with two sculptures made by Vicente Bort (brother of the architect of the bridge) of San Fernando and Santa Bárbara, in honor of the name days of the monarchs who reigned Spain at that time, as I have mentioned, Fernando VI, and his wife Bárbara de Braganza.

Made entirely of granite, it stands on six semicircular arches that span the river. It features various ornamental elements, including the name statues of Saint Ferdinand located in the center of the parapet, giving the bridge its name, and of Saint Barbara, both installed on the parapet. These sculptures were erected in honor of Ferdinand VI and his wife, Barbara of Braganza, after whom their respective names are derived.
