In a beautiful location in the vineyards with a wide view over the Mosel stands the so-called "Grutenhäuschen" (Grute house).The two-storey Roman temple in temples was erected after Trier was elevated to imperial residence (late 3rd century).The original grave chamber for stone coffins was restored in 1962, the front and top parts of the temple 2001 reconstructed.Below the grave temple ran the Roman road.

From the outside, the Gruthenhäuschen looks like an old Roman temple, offering a nice opportunity for photos. Nice view of the Moselle valley and the surrounding vineyards as well as the other side of the Moselle.
Interesting: the Römerstrasse ran below. Parking nearby, seating.
