The Boskapel or the Kapel der Bossen is a chapel located in the Gruitroderbos in Gruitrode, which was named after Our Lady of Rest. The chapel is located on the territory of Meeuwen-Gruitrode on the Geuzenbaan, a historic road that was named after the passage of William of Orange in 1568.
The chapel was founded at the time by the local walking and hunting association as a resting place for walkers and hunters. Later, after the construction of the Limburg cycling network, it also became a resting place for cyclists. This forest chapel is centrally located in the Belgian nature reserve Duinengordel.

Before the "big chapel" there is a smaller one and that is the original forest chapel. According to the story, it was founded out of gratitude by someone who got lost in the forest and miraculously found his way back. In this case, it was a miracle, thought the man, that he suddenly recognized a tree, which as a religious citizen he saw as divine intervention. It is the kind of story you often see in small rural chapels, especially in former forest areas. The larger, modern structure was actually created by the hunting and hiking clubs and once a year a mass is celebrated there. And whoever says hunter, of course also says Saint Hubertus. That's why you can attend a mass here around his feast day.
