The heritage centre celebrates and records the maritime history of this coastal area of north-eastern Scotland. In particular the 19th and early 20th century fishing industry. Lybster used to be a busy port with over 100 boats at the height of the herring boom.
The visitor centre includes a cafe and shop. It's open seasonally from May to September.
