Planning for the Eisbergen Weser Bridge began in 1909 with two building designs. The First World War prevented the start of construction in 1914. In October 1919, construction began on the Eisberg Weser Bridge, which was inaugurated on December 13, 1920. Here the farmers from the village, who owned land on the other side of the Weser and promised better access with the bridge, contributed financially. The deep-rope ferry used until then had been criticized for obstructing the up-and-coming ship traffic and the increasing number of ships on the Weser. The bridge was named after the Minden District Administrator Erich Petersen, who was very committed to its realization.

The Weser Bridge in Eisberges is a former armored bridge from World War II.
Under this bridge, large meadows and a barbecue area invite you to linger on the Weser. There is also a bot investor.

Read directly on the Weser; Seating and a spacious lawn available.
