    The local recreation area "Bruchwiesenanlage" is a protected 10-hectare biotope. It was returned to nature in 1999 while offering the opportunity to experience nature up close. Due to comprehensive planning, it was possible to use the natural valley floodplain as a retention basin by designing a dam. A retention volume of 20,000 m³ was created in the area of the Glan valley floodplain. At the same time, the hydraulic engineering measures include the creation of ponds on an area of around 5,000 m² and renaturation measures along the Glan. Some ponds were dug here years ago to ensure that they do not dry out completely even if the drought lasts for a long time. Information boards provide information about flora and fauna.
