Magnificent old town with half-timbered houses, once a Staufer palatinate.
It is worth leaving the Neckar cycle path, following the mountain upwards and plunging straight into the old town after the train station.
After a short time and following the old city wall, you will find the impressive Schwibbogentor on the right side, then the lower market square, with the Löwenbrunnen, up the hill on the right to Rathausplatz, halfway up you will find the herb woman, regionally known for his grilled chicken.
If you do not turn right, but follow the old town straight up from Berg, you come through the impressive alley with its high half-timbered houses.
Where the alley widens again, there is the Adlerbrunnen, the wine bar closes off to the right above the fountain, but it is worthwhile to follow the main road a few meters further and stop at the Picasso beer garden or restaurant.
