Coming here from Niendorf, I didn't notice any prohibition signs (or special route signs for pedestrians). To do this you have to go up a small ramp at the end of the wide plank section. But it is mobile.
In the other direction, coming from the top of the cliff, the sign cannot be missed. Pedestrians... should of course be taken into account in any case!
Otherwise you can turn off shortly beforehand, but then you will of course miss the beautiful views from the boardwalk over the beach.
