Lake Fusaro (or Lake Acherusio) is located in the municipality of Bacoli (municipality on the outskirts of Naples) and gives its name to the homonymous hamlet that welcomes it. The lake was formed with the closure of the stretch of sea between the hamlets of Torregaveta and Cuma. Its perimeter measures approximately 4.10 km and has an area of 0.97 square km.

In ancient times it was identified with the mythical Acherusia palus, the infernal swamp formed by the Acheron river.
