    Mount Forato is one of the most fascinating mountains of the Apuan Alps, easy to reach and unique for the particularity of its hole which has always attracted hikers, travelers and scientists. Particularly spectacular are the sunrises and sunsets through the forum, visible, respectively, from Versilia and Garfagnana and the passages of the moon and other celestial bodies that attract the interest of amateur astronomers. The Forato area allows various excursion possibilities including some interesting rings and, if desired, it is also possible to take an aerial, but quite simple, via ferrata which leads to the main peak.
