A beautiful old church, the only one in the place in which regular services are celebrated. Here also wind concerts take place, which lead to a cozy get-together. Very nice atmosphere!

The ev.-luth. Parish Gödens is located on the southeastern edge of the parish and belongs with its districts Neustadtgödens, Dykhausen, Gödens and Altgödens to the political community Sande in the district of Friesland. She is the only Patronatsgemeinde in the church circle. The patron is Heidi Countess von Wedel, Castle Gödens. The Lutheran church was opened in 1695 as the first church in the city. The present church tower was only added in 1714. In the tower is a sandstone portal, above which are the coats of arms of Count Burchard Philipp von Fridag and his wife.
