Cesare Battisti (born February 4, 1875 in Trento, then Austria-Hungary; † July 12, 1916 there) was a geographer and a socialist member of the Austrian Reichsrat and the Tyrolean Parliament. As an irredentist, Battisti entered the war against Austria on the Italian side when the war began in 1915. In 1916 he was captured by Austrian provincial riflemen and, after a short trial in Trento, executed for high treason.
