Tips

  • THE ROAD IS PINK ( PINKI )

The moated castle was originally a farmyard and was first mentioned in 1299. Hilmar von Quernheim built the farm between 1568 and 1570 to a moated castle in the style of the Weser Renaissance. Today, the site of the Ulenburg include a watermill, a residential building and farmland, forest and a castle park. The park today impresses with its ancient, exotic trees. Elder Tree is a mighty "judicial lime tree" in front of the main entrance of the castle from 1450.
