Wijndomein Hof te Dieren is a beautiful organic vineyard of over two hectares. Taste the wines during the wine tasting or guided tours. You can also take a bottle with you at home. In the summer you can come by every day from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. During the winter months they are closed on Thursdays and Sundays.

Not always open, but a good place for a stop.

The first descriptions of the current Hof te Dieren date from the year 1168. Before that it is known that there was a farm there. However, the main forms of the Court in Dieren originated in 1647, with the acquisition by Stadtholder William II. He had a hunting lodge built, his successor King Stadtholder William III embellished the whole and had “vineyards” built there. The current vineyard therefore revives a piece of history.

After a major fire in 1795, the ruins of the castle quickly deteriorated. The gardens, until then part of French garden architecture, also soon became wild. Only after twenty-five years, in 1822, did it come into the possession of Marie Cornélie, Countess van Wassenaer Obdam, Vrouwe van Twickel. She had a new country house built there with gardens in English style, designed by architect J.D. Zocher Jr.
At the end of the Second World War the house burned down again. Since then, there has been new construction, but (unfortunately) it has not yet gotten off the ground.
