The primitive church was built in the twelfth century, it was called the “chapel of Béatrice de Faucigny, “La grande Dauphine””1.During the Bernese invasion, the town's castle was destroyed in 1589, its castle chapel became a church and was enlarged using the stones of the demolished building. At the end of the 20th century, the condition of the Saint-Martin church deteriorated more and more. In 2016, it benefited from a major global restoration campaign, during which frescoes dating from the 12th and 14th centuries were discovered.
