The then owner of the Ziegersberg estate, Dr. Jakob Singer, about 700 m from the old castle ruins, was built in 1896/97 by the Viennese master builder Dr. Franz Schönthaler build a modern castle. Baroque French garden palaces obviously served as a model. In order to obtain cheap building material, large sections of the surrounding wall of Ziegersberg Castle were demolished. Singer owned the building until 1917, when it became the property of Hilda Brunner. The Ziegersberg estate was Aryanized in 1940 and passed to Dr. Carlos Wetzell. After the Second World War it was returned to the previous owner. Today Mr. Kurt Breitfellner owns the castle.

The castle can therefore only be visited from the outside.
