"On a hill, less than a kilometer from the town, and located on the Franconian Marienweg, the Vierzehnheiligenkapelle is not only for the Wülfershäuser attraction, to find time for rest and contemplation or the view to Kreuzberg, Sodenberg, in the Spessart or to enjoy the Steigerwald.

As early as 1714, a stone cross had been erected there. In 1754, the then shepherd owner Georg Weissenberger had a rococo-style shrine built in 1754 with the image of the 14 helpers. This was built on request of pastor Georg Erhard Dittmann 1857 with a 3.5 meter long and three meter wide half-timbered chapel. In November 1886, the farmer Johann Georg Nöth died and set up the chapel as the main bear. In three auctions, his councilor was auctioned with 9000 Mark proceeds.

Against the wishes of the pastor Michael Krapf work began in April 1888 on the new sandstone chapel, which was inaugurated on June 25, 1889. The construction costs amounted to 8800 marks. In the same year, two bells were purchased for 302 marks and one year later for 490 marks the altar "in the Gothic style of good dry cherry wood, the ornaments of lime wood". The two bells had to be delivered during the Second World War for melting. Since 1951 two bells can be rung in honor of the "14-Nothelfer" and the "Holy Angel of God". The latter was donated by the municipality Wülfershausen, out of gratitude for the fact that the training area Hammelburg was not enlarged ... "
