Next to the Single Wiericke is the 8 meter high observation tower, the Wierickewachter. The tower was erected in 2017 as the conclusion of the 'Redesign Single Wiericke' project. We climb up and have a phenomenal view over the polder landscape of the Green Heart, with meadows, trees, water and small ditches everywhere. Next to the tower are 3 old and bare tree stumps, with statues of cormorants on top.
