The Paltrock wind mill was built in 1946 in Frenz by the company Kühn from a previously converted from another place wind turbine. It was then dismantled in 1990/91 and rebuilt in 1992/93 at its current location in Parey. Previously, there was already another Paltrockmühle at this point. She went back to a windmill built by master carpenter W. Hoppe from Güsen. In 1904 she belonged to several changes of ownership of the Ogen family. Master miller A. Ogen then had the mill stand rebuilt in 1951 [1] or 1952 [2] by the company Kühn to the Paltrock mill. She offered more space and turned automatically into the wind with her wind rose. It was the last commercial wind-powered mill in the GDR. By a lightning strike, however, it was completely destroyed on 1 May 1983 and finally replaced by the current mill.
The wind-driven mill has a wing cross with Venetian blind wing. Essential technical equipment such as drive shafts and grinding and shredding gear come from the demolished in 1991 Paltrockmühle Rödgen.
