In the deciduous forests on the mountain slope are nicely hidden the Nesselhof ponds. They are the remains of the Nesselhof, which was built here in 1573, i.a. to provide food for the Hohe Schule in Herborn. But already twenty years later the farm was broken off again. The fish ponds are today used for the rearing of young fish, are because of their beautiful location a popular intermediate destination for hikers in the Scheldt forest.
