Until now, according to the regulations from 1992 and the 2012 amendment, cycling was only permitted on the following roads: 1. Hirschbichlstraße (state road 2099) and from the Bindalm bus stop to the alpine huts on the Bindalm; 2. Eiskar forest road to the junction of the path to the Schhärtenalm; 3. Eckau forest road to Eckau Alm with junction to the Schwarzederer turning area; 4. Schappachstraße and Hammerstielstraße to Kühroint - turning area in front of the Archenkanzel - and forest road to Herrenroint; 5. Gotzenstrasse and Hochbahnweg to Gotzenalm and access to the Stahlhaus; 6. Ligeretstrasse. The addition of approved cycle paths from 2012 can be found in the official gazette for the Berchtesgadener Land district no. 20 dated May 15, 2012 on page 127ff. (lra-bgl.de/t/das-landratsamt/amtsblaetter/). The regulation is based on Article 31, paragraph 1 and Article 43, paragraph 2, no. 3 of the Bavarian Nature Conservation Act (BayNatSchG).
In addition, the following sections have now been opened on a trial basis (see press release from the LRA Berchtesgadener Land dated April 5, 2024): 7. Ragertweg from Hirschbichlstraße to Ragertalm 8. Priesbergweg from the Jennerweg junction to Priesbergalm 9. “Stichweg” Mooslahner, starting from the already opened path “Kühroint - Archenkanzel viewpoint” to the turning point 10.
