The church dates from 1420 and is Gothic in style, except for the choir which is Romanesque. It was built slightly raised. The tower which stands out from the whole, is built in large sandstone rubble and stands in the axis of the main nave. It is defensive in nature (loopholes).

Inside, the naves are Gothic with blue stone columns topped with soberly molded capitals. The choir was remodeled in the 18th century and contains beautiful paneling from that period. The main altar is decorated with an 18th century altarpiece. Four Ionic columns and two pilasters frame the central painting ("the Crucifixion").

The side altars are in the same style and from the same period as the main altar. The 18th century pulpit is composed of panels decorated with garlands and the profiles of the Virgin and Christ.

In the side naves is a polychrome wooden calvary from the 6th century belonging to a workshop in Brabant. Another curiosity is the 15th century baptismal font in blue stone.

In the parish treasure, it is worth noting the presence of a magnificent silver sun monstrance. This monstrance recalls the Louis XIV style although it dates from 1764. The sun is surrounded by golden rays on which cherubs' heads and alternating ears of corn are hung; the whole is topped with two angel heads. The foot of the monstrance is divided into four compartments engraved with flowers and cartouches.

The entire building was restored and enlarged in 1862.

A small path around the church allows visitors to easily contemplate all its facets.

Every year at the end of June, a procession is organized in honor of Saint John. This procession is organized in collaboration with the commune of Boussoit.
