A medieval farmstead was rebuilt on this site in the wake of the first mention of Neukirchen 1,100 years ago. A house and a stable were built under expert advice. Both buildings were constructed from peeled oak beams. The spaces between them were lined with mesh and clay.
The main building was then covered with bundles of miscanthus. The town building was given a roof covered with thatch.
Tours are possible every second Sunday of the month.
