The moated castle monastery Hof Ter Welle is a gem. This former orphanage, whose history dates back to the 13th century, was resurrected in 2017 as a Heritage House for the municipality of Beveren. Since a thorough renovation, the white castle on the Anna Piersdreef has been shining like never before. A very remarkable thing about this building: the chapel is attached to the castle. That immediately explains the other name of this historic place: Oud Geestelijk Hof. The social factor of the orphanage is still present today. Opposite the castle building, there are still - albeit in more recent buildings - service centres for special youth care and other care facilities. But the castle site itself is now mainly a Heritage House.
Not to be confused with Kasteel Cortewalle.

The oldest traces of this castle date back to the 13th century. This makes the domain one of the oldest sites in Beveren. This hidden gem is now hidden behind a stately beech avenue and is today the heritage and art depot of the municipality of Beveren.
Not to be confused with Kasteel Cortewalle.
