The Grossen-Buseck Jewish Cemetery was established in 1769 by the noble von Buseck family (called Münch) as a Jewish burial ground and the graves had to be bought individually. In 1832 the cemetery grounds were acquired by the Große-Buseck community and leased to the Jewish community for an annual rent of twelve guilders.
There are numerous preserved, but also many toppled, broken and vandalized gravestones in the cemetery. In 1929, a memorial in the form of a pillar (obelisk) with a trapezoidal end and crowned with the Star of David was erected for the Jews who died in World War I. The names of Max Griesheim from Beuern, Sally Jakob from Grossen-Buseck and Julius Löwenberg from Reiskirchen are inscribed on it.

The farmer next door has unfortunately claimed and blocked most of the access paths. Only a single muddy grassy path to the lower right is passable to reach the cemetery.
