The Wilhelm Raabe Tower on the Großer Sohl in the Hils near Grünenplan is a memorial to the writer of the same name (1831 to 1910) - and has long been a popular tourist destination: anyone who climbs the 15-meter-high observation tower on one of the highest elevations in the Hils will be rewarded with a wonderful view of the Weser and Leinebergland, which, in good weather, extends as far as the Brocken.translated by
