Boxford State Forest is a beautifully isolated place to run. Its 1,045 acres (423 ha) of woodland are crossed by 19 kilometers (12 m) of trails, giving you plenty of opportunity for great runs. The western end of the forest is home to Atlantic white cedar swamps, which consist of various tree species and shrubs, such as blueberry and pepperbush.
