Versmold City Park

In the city center of Versmold you will also find a place of inner-city peace and relaxation: the large city park with its magnificent stock of trees and exotic shrubs.
Created in 1843, the former private park of the Delius family has been in municipal hands since 1901. The Hans Reinert Foundation in particular has been committed to the maintenance and further development of the park for several years.
The so-called "Villa" in the city park, a neoclassical jewel that was built in 1913, has a special history. Soon after the opening of the city park in 1902, the area became a popular meeting place for Versmold's clubs, from the fire brigade to the rifle club, from athletes to singers.
