The Tamina Bridge connects the two villages of Pfäfers and Valens at the entrance to the Tamina Valley. The bridge arches impressively over the deep Tamina Gorge, where the famous 36.5° thermal water arises. With a span of 260 meters and a length of 475 meters, the Tamina Bridge is the largest arch bridge in Switzerland and one of the largest of its kind in Europe.
Find out more on a 1-hour tour (CHF 150.00) including a short presentation with lots of pictures from the construction period.

The bridge from Pfäfers to Valens was built to replace the steep and expensive mountain road from Bad Ragaz to Valens. This means that the dangerous section of Valenserstrasse is bypassed. In addition, the new connecting road will relieve pressure on the village center of Bad Ragaz. The entire Tamina Valley is only accessible via Pfäferserstrasse.
The Tamina Arch crosses the Tamina Gorge at a height of 200 meters and has a span of over 400 meters.
Facts Tamina Bridge - total length 475 m - bridge superstructure 417 m - arch span 260 m - height above valley floor 200 m - bridge width 9.5 m
