Hoheneck Castle, also known as Hohenegge Castle, is the ruins of a hilltop castle on the Schlossberg above the Hoheneck district of Ludwigsburg. The castle was built around 1200 by Margrave Hermann V of Baden, but was described as destroyed as early as 1643. Unfortunately, you cannot see into the castle interior and can only view the old walls from the outside.

The driveway from Althoheneck via the Burgweg is very steep. If you want it to be easier, come from above!
