The place belongs to the Lords of Grieskirchen-Tegernbach. These are servants of the Styrian Ottokars, from 1192 the Babenbergs. 1343 Gallspach becomes an independent parish. 1357 St. Georgen becomes an independent parish. 1561-1625 The parish was occupied by evangelical preachers. 1568 The first baptismal register of the parish is created. 1610 Construction of the Karbrunnen. 1626 Nobility and citizens of Grieskirchen (mostly Protestants) support the rebellious peasants in the Upper Austrian Peasants' War. 1627 Hans Hausleitner, Parz's nurse and district court administrator of Grieskirchen, is executed in Linz after the peasant uprising. During these years, many Protestants (including the Jörger von Tollet and the Lords of Schlüßlberg) emigrated to Germany. 1784 Pollham Parish established. The villages of Aigendorf and Kumpfhub come under the parish of Schönau (today Bad Schallerbach). 1785 Establishment of the Diocese of Linz. 1803 The St. Nikola Monastery is abolished by the Bavarian government. Grieskirchen now belongs to the diocese of Linz.
