Lias-Grube Environmental Station

The Lias-Grube environmental station is one of 42 information and educational centers for regional environmental education in Bavaria. The 17-hectare outdoor area of the environmental station is a clay mining pit that has since been shut down and renaturalised. The largely natural area offers exciting insights into the cycles of nature. Display boards suitable for children ensure that even our little ones understand the complex facts.In 2008, the environmental station was expanded to include a well-equipped environmental center with an extensive environmental library, several seminar and conference rooms, two kitchens, comfortable sanitary facilities and more than 70 beds. You can stay overnight here at any time of the year: The cozy clay and wooden houses, which are grouped in a circle around two covered courtyards, can be heated and offer a unique atmosphere.Staying overnight in the Lias-Grube is the ideal alternative to youth hostels or school camps, the seminar rooms are also suitable for conferences, training courses or private celebrations.
