The climb up to the lake itself is pretty steady. Once you get to the lake, there is a small area to share on the shore unless you do a little bushwhacking and find a more secluded spot. The views, even when foggy, are worth the trip up. It does get muddy as you approach the top and the walk back down can be slippery if it is or has been raining.
