The Castle of San Felipe is located in Los Escullos, a neighborhood of the municipality of Nijar, located in the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata. The castle, due to its type of coastal battery, is located at the edge of the sea and is about ten meters away. It is located on a calcareous rock formation that forms a cliff about eight meters high above the sea.
