The castle was ruined by the bombs of the Second World War. Today offers a gloomy sight. The ruin is surrounded by a moat and can once run around or be circumvented. The moat is full of fish. Unfortunately the ruin itself can not be "committed".

Area around this castle, destroyed in the Second World War, is best visited on foot or by off-road bicycle.

The ruin is a perfect base for a bike ride through the northern Maasduinen - parking included.
