Villa "La jetée" known as "Château Bugeau

The villa "La Jetée", also known as "Château Bugeau", was built at the beginning of the 20th century. Carried out by the architect Cotton, the construction was completed in 1903.Today, this remarkable home is private. Its owner, Marie Jaubert agreed to host a team from France 3 Poitou Charentes in summer 2018 to let people know a little more about this architectural treasure which has been listed as a Historic Monument since 2007.The building is made up of two contiguous rectangular blocks, against which two towers lean: a square tower facing the sea serving as a belvedere and housing the entrance porch; a round corbelled tower on the back serving as a stairwell.The France 3 Poitou Charentes report on the villa “La Jetée” will tell you a lot more about this jewel and its setting
