Above the blue waters of the lake rise dramatically the steep foothills of the dead mountain. Since the shore is almost undeveloped, you can walk around the picturesque lake on a promenade.

I can not recommend a trip on the toll road to Loser at least in late spring. Nice view but otherwise hardly worth seeing. Instead of 16 € here for the toll rather go to the not far away Tauplitzalm. There it is much nicer and there are great hiking possibilities.
