The Glögglifels
The Glögglifels is located on the Pfeffingen–Nenzlingen route. It is assumed that the Roman road from Augusta Raurica (Augst) to Aventicum (Avenches) and Petinesca (Studen/BE) ran here. However, the narrow passage at the Glögglifels was only suitable for small and light wagons. The wheel and carriageway, which is about one meter wide, is clearly visible over a length of several meters. The name "Glögglifels" may come from the fact that the wagon drivers had to call the customs officer with a bell so that he would open the gate that blocked the passage.
