Emergence
The small pilgrimage church was built by Baron von Langen in 1728 on the Kreuzberg above Winnweiler. In addition, stations of the cross were set up on the way to the chapel and linden trees were planted.
architecture
▪ The chapel was enlarged considerably until 1764 and the Hermitage was increased (by the way, it is still inhabited today)
▪ In 1840 the roof rider between the chapel and the Hermitage was removed and the tower was built
Equipment / art
▪ The interior comes mainly from the 18th century.
▪ The wood carvings "Pieta" and "Christ in the grave" are particularly worth mentioning
▪ Wooden painting of the Lord's Supper on the base of the main altar
▪ The most valuable piece of equipment is a painting on the north wall ("the Holy Family"), which probably comes from one of Raphael's students
