Imposing castle from the 15th century, a military fortress that was destroyed in the late 18th century and early 19th century during the War of Independence with Portugal and France. Built in the mid-15th century by Don Rodrigo Alonso de Pimentel and Doña María Pacheco (IV Counts of Benavente), it occupies a privileged position on a promontory.
