Oslo Sentralstasjon, abbreviated to Oslo S, is the main station in the city of Oslo and the largest station in Norway.

The station is the successor to the Østbanestasjonen (Oslo Ø) built in 1854 and was opened in 1981. With this construction project, the long-distance traffic functions of the Vestbanestasjonen (Oslo V) station were abandoned. The trains were led through the newly built Oslo tunnel to Oslo S.

In addition to long-distance and local trains, this transport hub also serves the Flytoget, an express train that connects the Norwegian capital with Oslo-Gardermoen Airport, all six subway lines (Oslo T-bane), trams and bus lines in the Oslo metropolitan area. The stop at the station is called Jernbanetorget. Around 150,000 travelers use this station every day.

The station consists of three main buildings, all of which are connected to one another. These are the main station itself, the terminal of Flytoget AS and the modernized Østbanehallen, the oldest part of the complex.
Almost all of Vy's long-distance trains start or end here.

      The railway station in Oslo.

A totally interesting main station. The combination of railway operations, shopping zone and good restaurants is great and unfortunately also confusing. As a result, the signage is often lost. Altogether worth a visit, not only for train travel.
