Top of Monte Rotondo; one of the two peaks of the so-called "Open Book" which also includes Mount Belvedere.
Useful passage if you want to enjoy a beautiful view but uncomfortable, if not dangerous if you have bulky backpacks, due to some steep passages between the rocks.

Ridge section culminating at Monte Rotondo (1936 m), the main peak of Libro Aperto.
From the saddle where the CAI 433-435-447-495 signs intersect, follow the steep trail that between rocks (grade I passages) leads to the pre-summit.
Note the presence of the ferruginous rhododendron, a glacial relic that blooms at the end of June.
After the first climb, follow the comfortable ridge until you reach the most challenging passage: a vertical jump of about 4 meters and subsequent traverse, equipped with a chain. A few more steps and you reach the destination.
Suitable footwear and a little experience are recommended, especially on the equipped section.
Be very careful in case of rain or snow.
