Montgilbert Castle is a ruined medieval fortress dating back to the 13th century. You can discover the remains of the two concentric enclosures, the towers, the chapel, the stately home and imagine the life of the lords and soldiers who lived in this strategic site. The castle is located on a rocky hill which dominates the Vareille valley and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. Montgilbert Castle is open to visitors all year round and admission is free.
