The Minorite monastery with the Museum of Prehistory and Early History - in front of it the famous Strettweg sacrificial wagon from the 7th century BC (original in the Eggenberg Castle Archaeology Museum), as well as the library and a cellar theater.

The Jesuit monastery Judenburg, a spacious, early Baroque four-wing complex, originally a monastery of the barefoot Augustinian hermits (founded in 1364), housed the Jesuits who settled in the course of the Counter-Reformation from 1620 onwards. For around a century and a half, the Jesuits had a decisive influence on life in Judenburg with their baroque religiousness. Today there are the Ulrich von Liechtenstein Music and Art School Judenburg and a youth hostel.
