The work, located completely under the rock near the church, is very similar in its conception to the frontal anti-tank bunker in the valley floor. From the entrance one reaches a first room on the right-hand side, which serves as an observer, and then goes on to a position for a 7.5 cm cannon. On the left there are two entrances to the accommodation, followed on the right by a second observer and a fighting area with a 7.5 cm cannon. In the fighting rooms you can still see the rails and the pivot of the special mount, which is called the Knobel mount after the designer. However, this has a lower elevation than the field tripod. Only six of this type, which was intended to accommodate the cradle and barrel of the 7.5 cm guns, were installed in Switzerland - all in Ticino.
At the beginning of the Second World War, the plant was armed with two mountain cannons 06 (7.5 cm, range 3.1 km). In 1950 these were replaced by 7.5 cm Kan 03/22 (range 7.5 cm), which required an adjustment of the mount. During the same period, the modernization of the plant was studied in order to meet the new safety criteria for ammunition storage. However, this intention was not pursued further. According to the available documents, the excavations and the notches were finished in mid-December 1940; in September 1941 the work was reported as finished. On March 23, 1943, it was officially handed over to the FWK.
