St. George's Church is located near the north bank of the Danube in the Schwabelweis district of Regensburg. It is the Roman Catholic parish church of the parish of the same name in the Regensburg deanery of the diocese and is dedicated to St. George. A church is said to have existed on this site as early as the 9th century, when the place was first mentioned, or at the latest by 1441. A small bell, a stone cross, and an art-historically significant statue of St. George have been preserved.

The church is a late baroque hall church with a retracted choir, hipped roof and east tower with onion dome from 1770 to 1776. In 1949/50 the church was expanded to the north and west. The coat of arms of the builder of the church, created by Otto Gebhard, can be seen in the center of the choir arch.
