The center of the town is the Protestant parish church. It was largely built around 1496 and renovated at the beginning of the 17th century. At that time, the church was given the typical octagonal tower. There are several valuable monuments inside. The baptismal font dates from 1523, the two-columned altar was built around 1700 and has a large crucifix instead of a leaf. The church contains the only surviving organ by Johann Adam Brandenstein.

The old cemetery wall has been preserved around the church. The affiliation to the County of Castell is evident from a round-arched portal with a coat of arms from 1744. The cemetery was relocated in the 17th century and equipped with a simple Renaissance chapel from 1612. Several gravestones in the new cemetery date from the 19th and 20th centuries. Obereisenheim was originally surrounded by strong fortifications, and the moat around the town is still visible in many places. In addition, remains of walls have been preserved in some places. The community center, which was the town hall until the 20th century, was located within the ring of walls. It has a sprawling mansard roof. Many residential buildings from bygone times characterize the townscape.

Very nicely designed market square in a beautiful wine village.
