A notice board provides information about the following:
-The Bismarckstatus - created by Adolf Brütt - was originally on the Danish Knivsberg near Aabenraa. Otto von Bismarck (1815 - 1898) was the founder and chancellor of the German Empire. Before the vote on the German-Danish border issue, the statue was dismantled in 1920 and transported to Rendsburg by train. Associations of the Nordschleswiger spoke out in favor of a line-up on the Aschberg. After many disputes and years of storage in a barn in Ascheffel, the cultural monument was moved to its current location in September 1930.

Otto von Bismarck seems to be enjoying the fantastic view over the nature park, his mighty sword positioned in front of him like a walking stick. But originally the monumental statue was in a completely different place, namely on the Knivsberg near Apenrade. In 1920, when this area was given to Denmark after World War I, the statue was dismantled and transported to Rendsburg by train. After many disputes and years of storage in a barn in Ascheffel, the cultural monument was inaugurated at its current location in September 1930. Otto von Bismarck (1815–1898) was the founder and chancellor of the German Empire.

From the Aschberg, "he" has at least a good view.
